You are already, and often, in the presence of natural essences - they are in the energetics of fresh flowers, plants, crystals and special places. Some people may be aware of these energies and have a felt sensitivity towards them, however whether you can feel these subtle energies or not they can help bring you back to balance and harmony.
Dr Edward Bach taught in the 1930’s, ‘the basis of disease was to be found in disharmony between the spiritual and the mental aspects of a human being'. This disharmony lowered the body’s vitality and allowed disease to be present. For this reason, the remedies he prepared were for the treatment of the mood and temperament of the patient, so that each patient becoming more herself could increase her own vitality and so draw from an inward strength and inward peace, the means to restore health.
These essences can be used in conjunction with any other form of treatment, and will not interfere and are not a replacement for medical treatment. Equally, they can achieve great results used alone.
Cancer Research UK include Essence Therapy in their complementary and alternative therapies - Some people with cancer say that essences help them to feel better mentally, emotionally or spiritually. This might help them to feel better physically too. Others claim that flower remedies can help to boost your immune system. There is no scientific evidence to prove this. But many people say that flower remedies help relieve fear, anxiety or depression.
